Direct Drains Limited is a well-established drainage and civil company that has been operating in the greater Auckland area since 2017.
Our team is led by Jade Rayner, a highly skilled and Certified Drainlayer, with almost 20 years’ experience in the industry. Jade is hands on in the running of the business, one day you’ll find him in the office collaborating with clients on projects, the next you’ll find him in the trenches laying pipe.
Our team consists of skilled Project Managers, Drainlayers, Site Supervisors and Operators who love what they do and take pride in their workmanship.
Part of our package includes Engineer Advice, Value Engineering, ECI, Project Management and Planning assistance. It is second nature for us to find more effective and cost-efficient ways of getting the job done. We believe good communication is fundamental to the success of every partnership and every project.

Jade Rayner
Director
Bringing over 20 years experience in Drainage and Civil Works, Jade oversees all operations at Direct Drains Limited. He is a certified drainlayer and has successfully managed projects ranging from $10,000 residential works to $10 million large-scale infrastructure works. Jade combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills, ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Jurgens Swiegelaar
Quantity Surveyor/Estimator
Jurgens brings an extensive career in quantity surveying and estimating, with a strong focus on delivering accurate costings and efficient project planning. He combines technical knowledge with a keen eye for detail, ensuring budgets are realistic, risks are managed and resources are optimised. Jurgen’s proactive approach helps projects stay on track from tender through to completion, giving clients confidence in both cost certainty and quality outcomes.
Kyle Lennon
Project Manager
With over a decade’s experience in Civil Engineering and Project Management, Kyle oversee Direct Drains Limited’s projects from initial tender through to successful completion. He holds a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and is known for delivering efficient, high quality outcomes. Kyle is also skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and ensuring projects meet strict safety and quality standards, making him a trusted leader on every project.
Lisa Gray
HR and Safety Manager
Lisa brings a unique blend of operational expertise and focus on staff wellbeing to Direct Drains Limited. She manages HR functions and ensures compliance with Workplace Health and Safety standards, fostering a safe, efficient and collaborative work environment. Building on a long career in account management, Lisa has years of experience in HR and Workplace Health and Safety.
James Norton
Supervisor/Operator
James has 15 years experience in site operations, bringing deep practical expertise to Direct Drains Limited. He manages on-site activities, ensuring work in carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. He is skilled in team coordination, specialised equipment operation and problem solving. James is a highly dependable professional who keeps our projects running smoothly.
Dylan Norton
Supervisor/Drainlayer
Dylan has around 10 years experience specialising in drainlaying, bringing knowledge of technical drainage systems to Direct Drains Limited. He focuses on delivering precise, high quality workmanship, tackling challenging installations and repairs with skill and confidence. Dylan’s hands-on experience ensures clients’ drainage projects are completed correctly the first time, minimising downtime and maximising reliability.
